Katie Williard graduated from Appalachian State University in 2022 with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies with a minor in Animal Studies. She was awarded a Sally A. Callegari Memorial Scholarship for Gender Diversity in Animal Studies in 2020-21 from the College of Arts & Sciences. See the article here.
