People with disabilities are underrepresented among psychologists and graduate student trainees and are more likely to drop out of their educational programs. To help address this inequity, Dr. Emery will be serving as a mentor in the APA Disability Mentoring program in Fall 2022. This program serves graduate students, early career psychologists, and practicing psychologists who have acquired a disability. Mentees are matched with a mentor who has a disability identity and/or are well versed in disability issues through their work. Dr. Emery is mentoring two students in the Fall 2022 cohort of the program.
